Felleskatalogen is fully integrated into the Norwegian healthcare system:

• Electronic health record (EHR) systems display knowledge support from Felleskatalogen, providing easy access for healthcare professionals and veterinarians
• Helsenorge.no and the Central Prescription Module (SFM) feature our package leaflets and Felleskatalog texts
• Legemiddelsok.no (administered by the Norwegian Medical Products Agency, NOMA) links directly to digital package leaflets at felleskatalogen.no

For generic products, companies may use short factual texts instead of full Felleskatalog texts. This is only allowed when the product can refer to another product with a complete Felleskatalog text that provides information about the same active ingredient, pharmaceutical form, strength, and indication.

• It is essential that all pharmaceutical forms and strengths are covered due to active ingredient prescription requirements.
• Companies must assess whether the SmPCs are sufficiently similar. If not, the editorial staff may request a full text.
• If no original product with a complete Felleskatalog text exists, the company with the highest share of factual texts must prepare a complete text.

Your annual participation fee includes:

• Publishing of Felleskatalog texts (FK texts and Vet texts)
• Digital package leaflets and
• Product images (human products)
• Instructional videos and educational materials (human products)

Fee Structure (2026):
Note! Fees apply per text, whether or not updates were made in the past year.

If a company exclusively uses factual texts, the fee is 2000 NOK for texts 1-5 and 1000 NOK for text 6 and beyond. For companies that have at lest one complete FK text, the fee for a factual text is always 1000 NOK.

Companies using factual texts still retain full rights to publish digital package leaflets, product images, and educational materials.

Note! Products listed as orphan drugs by the European Commission are exempt from charges. See the list here: Orphan Register.

• Your participation continues until you notify us of withdrawal.
• Deadline for withdrawal: January 15 each year.
• Fees are invoiced annually in January​/​February.

The pharmaceutical companies participating in Felleskatalogen can publish instruction movies and educational material on felleskatalogen.no, with no additional costs. Instruction movies - Design and content

• Make sure that you only include information concerning administration (including preparation) in the instruction movies (or documents).
• All information shall be in accordance with the information in the package leaflets.
• Do not include company logo or product logo, and do not point out positive features, for instance 'the product is easy to use'.
• Based on universal design, we recommend both text and voice for movies, both in Norwegian language. English text is allowed in movies to be watched by healthcare professionals.
• Please don't include background music. Music can be disturbing for people with hearing disabilities.

Our editorial staff may make minor changes to movies and documents, to ensure that our recommendations are followed.

A Felleskatalog text is a prescription text based on the SmPC. Be aware that the Felleskatalog text has its own structure, somewhat different from the SmPC, and that it should be abbreviated compared to the SPC.
